Blogging in Classrooms
Here is a site that offers references and resources for blogging in classrooms. I could not resist - in the examples is a site called "Mrs Young's Summer Book Club". What a great idea. Many schools are now assigning summer reading to students, but who wants to read over the summer? Too much going on. But a blog would be a good way to keep in touch with students. Students could contact other students and view good reads over the summer. Click on Summer Reading to view Mrs Young's site. Summer Reading

Hello Lisa,
I think this is a great idea. Maybe it well help get the kids excited or encouraged about reading so that[ like you =) ]the kids don't look at reading as a chore. Seeing how other people like a book and getting an idea what it is about ahead of time makes it more likely to be interesting to another child. I don't know how effective this would be, but I guess every little effort made at encouraging children to learn is an unwasted effort.
